The real reward

Nothing beats the feeling of watching your child accomplish something on their own.

You’ve tied their shoes, steadied the bike, and guided their hands through a thousand challenges.

Then, one day, out of nowhere, they do it without you.

At first, you want to jump in, to help, to make it easier. But you don’t because this is their moment.

And when they finally get it, whether it’s writing their name, scoring a goal, or solving a tough math problem, you see the pride in their eyes and feel it in your own heart.

Fatherhood is full of moments like this. Moments where stepping back is the greatest act of love. Because watching them grow, struggle, and succeed?

That’s the real reward.
