Grammar rules

I’ve broken grammar and writing rules in every story or essay or social media post I’ve ever published.

Not because I didn’t know the rules.

Because I understood them.

And because I had something and someone more important to serve:

The rhythm.

The voice.

The emotional truth.

The reader.

I break the rules because it matters more to me to make readers feel than to follow every rule.
