I don’t need a cabin in the woods

I need 20 minutes of deep focus and a draft I won’t abandon when it gets messy.

Too many times I’ve waited for the perfect setting, the perfect vibe, the perfect conditions.

It’s taken me a long time to learn that conditions don’t create stories, commitment does.

My dream space can come later.

For now: I’ll sit down, open the doc, shut the door, and write.

That’s the only magic I need.
